The collaborations with Travis Scott keep on coming. On Oct. 23, PlayStation released a visual announcing the Houston native’s new position with Sony as their new Strategic Creative Partner for the PlayStation 5.
In the video, it showcased the different employer positions at Sony, such as platform, design and engineer, in which they were all dressed in Cactus Jack clothing. It even featured a sneak peek at what people thought might be the new Nike collaboration with Travis Scott. It then transitions to Travis sitting on a couch, blasting music through the speakers, as he grabs the PS5 controller and a wave of sound hits him.
It’s official: @trvisXX is joining the PlayStation family as a strategic creative partner.

“Today we are excited to share with you a unique video, created by Travis to kick off our partnership,” said Eric Lempel, senior vice president of PlayStation in a statement. “Travis is an amazing creator, and we strive to work with the best creative minds inside and outside of our industry to continue to surprise the world in a way that only PlayStation can.”
Travis Scott also helped narrate the ad for the new PlayStation console, which took on an appreciation for the great explorers in the world that went beyond expected limits. From Amelia Earhart, who was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean, Mae Jemison, the first Black woman in space, to Tenzing Norgay, one of the first to climb Mount Everest and Andy Green, the current land-speed record holder.
“I’m super thankful and excited to be able to bring my strategic and creative vision to the rollout of such an iconic product,” Travis Scott expressed in a statement. “I’ve always been a fan of PlayStation and the brand they’ve built, and this is another example of finding a partner who believes in and trusts Cactus Jack to execute for their brand. This is just the beginning of an incredible partnership.”
