Travis Scott is set to release his collaboration of Nike Air Force 1 Low “Cactus Jack” on Nov. 16. The collaboration was announced through an Instagram photo of Scott wearing the new sneakers in what looked like a desert and a Halloween themed background. In the photo, the Astroworld artist also stands dressed in Texan clothing, which is where his roots are from.
According to the Nike website, Scott’s hometown of Houston plays a big role in the design of the Air Force 1 Cactus Jack. The website reads, “The shoe is a patchwork of elements, reflecting things from his upbringing —like the durability of traditional work clothing, natural tones associated with being outdoors, and the surreal vibes of Astroworld.”
The shoes are just as different as Scott is, as it has a removable zipper that covers the laces. The sneaker stands with several colors: a light brown at the heel base, a mix of light purple, black, and a dark blue tone makes up the front half of the shoe. Written on the leather and suede shoe is the “KAKTYC A*EK Records” logo and “CACTUS JACK,” which is Scott’s record label.
This isn’t the first shoe collaboration that Scott has done. In Oct., the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 was released, which included a full olive green color, a pocket on the side ankle, glow in the dark soles and the “Nike Air” and “Cactus Jack” logos.
It seems like Travis is making his mark in the shoe industry with his unique details. The Nike Air Force 1 Low is expected to run for $160 and will be dropping at 7 am ET Nov. 16. Will you be copping a pair?
