You Label “Whore”

Labels are amazing yes….

I know everyone wants them & everyone wants to be represented by one, but what true fashion icon & I do mean TRUE fashion icon can’t turn rags into riches?  It doesn’t take money to be a true creative fashion icon. To be clear a label ” whore ” is someone who uses a brand to represent their fashion and style. 

Brands are a form of fashion but they don’t represent fashion. They represent a status level that not many people reach in their lifetime.  Wearing a label should never represent a fashion icon. Labels only hinder the creative spirit to truly call yourself someone who truly represents the fashion. Every piece of clothing made and purchased has a purpose and that purpose can change based on your creativity no matter what if it’s $1000 or $3.99 from goodwill.

Don’t conform to the world of brand representation and lose your own creative prowess because you want to fit in. Everyone who chooses to choose a brand as their fashion representation is only showing you what has already been seen on someone else.

Don’t take this the wrong way, brands have been a great asset to the fashion world, but to someone along the lines of fashion icons, brands are only represented as small  accessories to add to the creative prowess .

 

Fashion is about showing the world who you are , not a brand. You need to represent yourself to the world as a creative spirit, not someone who can buy someone else creative skills. It’s all about perception and creativity at the end of the day, and to those people who have those skills, they have a title as a fashion icon.  Don’t be a label (whore) and believe you’re giving the people fashion. You’re only showing  a trend waiting to die. Someone who’s true to the fashion game knows how to start with rags and make them all exceptional riches
