The Origin Behind the Company Name and Butterfly
KHAMAMA Timepieces is a family owned business based out of London, England operated by three brothers comprised of Managing Directors, Amos, Nathan, and silent partner, Simon Hornstein. Their grandfather was a draper traveling from Milan and Paris in Europe. The origin of the butterfly comes from there then 9 year old mother who received a framed butterfly as a gift from her father’s (Hornstein Brothers grandfather) business associate. Decades later, the three brothers would rediscover this butterfly in their mother’s attic and identify it as a Rajah Brooke butterfly. As it turns out, this butterfly was worth a FORTUNE at the time of the brothers’ mom receiving this gift and from that moment on, the idea of KHAMAMA was born and so the brothers decided that they would focus on bringing stunningly beautiful artifacts to the world.
The KHAMAMA Timepieces Collection
The collection currently features six pieces : ( From top left to bottom right) KHAMAMA Turquoise 1758, KHAMAMA Blue 1874, KHAMAMA Celeste 1773, KHAMAMA Brown 1758, KHAMAMA Psychedelic 1773, and the KHAMAMA Pearl 1782. The dates labeled for each watch signifies the year each respective butterfly was discovered.
