Over this past weekend, NBA MVP and All-Star Russell Westbrook debuted his fashion line, Honor the Gift, at a pop-up shop in Oklahoma City. In a two day event, the self proclaimed fashion king mingled with fans and fashion lovers alike and previewed items from his new clothing line. The collection will feature traditional unisex streetwear pieces such as hoodies, dad hats and tees.
While Russell Westbrook is easily one of the most fashion forward athletes of our generation, he is very much connected to what really matters – his community. Westbrook is using his clothing brand to give back to the community. He also has plans to recycle outdated clothing at local community stores Goodwill’s.While many may not be able to relate to the All-Star through basketball, they can certainly relate to his self-expression through fashion. Westbrook wants his clothing line to be fashionable, yet affordable he told local news channel FOX25. Honor the Gift is meant to inspire greatness.
