Amazon continues to grow as Jeff Bezos’s net worth hits over 170 billion. Sources say that he could be the first Trillionaire by 2026. This newest shopping experience to Amazon could be one of the reasons Bezos could be making his way up to become the world’s first Trillionaire.
Amazon has officially launched a luxury store option on the app. The luxury stores will give customers the option to shop from upscale designer fashion and beauty brands. The newest shopping option for Amazon shoppers will only be available by invitation only to Prime members. Although Amazon will be choosing which Prime members will get an invite to test out their luxury stores, Prime members also have the option to request for an invite.
In a statement, Amazon stated that “With collections sold directly from the participating brands as a ‘store within a store’ experience, brands independently make decisions regarding their inventory, selection, and pricing – and Amazon offers the merchandising tools for brands to create and personalize content in each of their unique brand voices.”
One of the designers who will partner with Amazon for their “Luxury Stores” is Oscar De La Renta. Customers will be able to choose from his fall and winter collection for this year. Which supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne is set to promote the collection also. The collection will include ready-to-wear, handbags, jewelry, accessories, and a new perfume, with Childrenswear, is coming soon.

Amazon customers will also be able to view each piece of clothing in an interactive “View 360” feature and on any body type and skin tone while they’re shopping.
Many luxury fashion brands are usually hesitant to partner with Amazon, due to counterfeiters on its third-party marketplace. Also, many fashion labels actually prefer curated selections and relationships with their customers compared to Amazon’s marketplace. So, this huge announcement of Oscar De La Renta deciding to partner with Amazon was extremely huge for Amazon. It’s not only a huge step towards Amazon selling high fashion products, but it’s also a different thing for Amazon to began to do. Especially with the majority of Amazon clothing purchases are usually basic clothing items and not high fashion.
As of right now, Oscar De La Renta is the only fashion brand that has announced that his clothes and other things from his fashion collection will be included in Amazon’s “Luxury Stores“.
