50 Cent is no stranger to producing movies and television series. Some shows feature gangster tones like Power and Power Book II: Ghost. Now, he’s making it a little more personal by bringing his beef with The Game to Starz.
“Moment In Time: The Massacre,” a working title, is expected to tell the story of their infamous fall out in 2005. It will be a series explaining the events of their issues with each other and leads up to Jimmy Henchman, who is serving life in prison.
On Aug. 15, the New York native shared the article from The Wrap on Instagram confirming the new series. His caption read, “yeah i had to do this one, so everybody can see how Jimmy The Rat was moving legendary sucker shit. NEW SHOW.”
According to The Wrap, the project will be written and executed produced by Abdul William, who contributed to The New Edition Story and The Bobby Brown Story, aside from 50. It will also showcase G-Unit against Jimmy Henchman, which ended in a “murder-for-hire plot.”
In an interview with Hip Hop DX in 2019, The Game shared that he felt he and 50 should have ended their beef like Biggie and Pac. He mentioned that the beef was deep enough to be considered dangerous for each of them to go to each other’s coast. The west coast rapper went on to say that their fans may have been dedicated to ending the rappers for one another.
50 Cent is also bringing a series based on the first black woman to represent a Top 3 NFL draft pick, Nicole Lynn. The sports agent and attorney will showcase her challenges in a male-dominated industry and breaking barriers.
There is no set day for releases on either of the series, but they both sound extremely interesting to keep an eye out for.
