WIth a new year comes much self-reflection for many. In those moments, we typically come to find areas of our lives that we think could use some adjustments or changes. Whether you are looking to completely change your life with a huge transition or just working on your glow up, read our tips below on how you can get started on making your needed change.
Start small.
Although the change you want to make is big, you have to start somewhere. You should start where you can, which could be small. Switch up your routine. Get yourself comfortable with being uncomfortable. Doing anything out of your norm is a great start.
Allow room for mess ups.
Change is hard. Change can even hurt. Give yourself space for backtracking and forgive yourself if you slip up.
Plan out as much as you can.
Find as much information as you can about what you are planning to do. If you plan it out, you can work to avoid any problems.
Share your intentions to change only with those who will support and encourage you.
The hardest part about making a change is feeling like you are being judged. Don’t tell that person that always seems to give their unwanted opinion about your life. They do not want to see you level up. Be about your betterment and leave the bs behind.
Don’t give up.
If the big change you want to make is not happening at the speed you want it to, stick with it anyways. Struggle and challenges build up character and make you more equipped to handle more situations life will throw at you. This is a part of change.
