When you think of the words The Chain Breaker, what comes to mind? A powerful person? A superhero in the night? For some, it’s New Orleans-born author Dr. Catrina Pullum, who earned the name of The Chain Breaker due to her resume of excellence. She had to be resilient and strong to overcome her past that involved sexual abuse, which helped amplify her career as The Chain Breaker herself. With not only being an author Dr. Pullum has many titles under her name from being a humanitarian in Haiti, mentoring, and even executive producing.
True Urban Culture had the opportunity to speak with Dr.Pullum on her journey of becoming the multi-talented black woman she is today, creating her children’s series “Growing with Grace”, and much more.
