Another NFL week and another injury to a major star. This is becoming almost regularity. This week’s victim to the injury bug was Richard Sherman who suffered a torn Achilles on Thursday Night Football and will likely be out the rest of the season.
Still, football must go on, so here are this week’s picks:
New England Patriots vs Denver Broncos
Y’all saw what happened to Denver last week right? Well we’re about to see a repeat. The Eagles embarrassed the Broncos 51-23. Carson Wentz was able to carve up Denver’s excellent D with ease, so what do you think Tom Brady will do? Denver’s saving grace will be that the Patriots don’t like to run up the score, and the game will still be ugly.
39-17 Patriots
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Indianapolis Colts
This season has been a disaster for the Colts. It started the Luck injury and it was cemented with the announcement that he’ll likely miss the entire season last week. This week, it doesn’t get any easier for the Colts against the Steelers. The Colts biggest issue is that they can’t score and the Steelers are one of the best offensive teams in the league. Expect big games from Antonio Brown and La’Veon Bell. This will be over by the half.
30-13 Steelers
New Orleans Saints vs Buffalo Bills
Talk about a turnaround. Both of these teams were among some of the worst last season. The Saints might’ve been the worst defensive team in the league and the Bills were just flat out bad, but what a difference a year makes. The addition of star rookie corner, Marshon Lattimore, has turned the Saints defense around and propelled them to a 6-2 start. He will also be the reason they win this game. He will have his breakout game of the year, which will include at least one interception and a game saving play.
24-17 Saints
Game Of The Week: Dallas Cowboys vs Atlanta Falcons
This is where the Cowboys’ season truly begins. Ezekiel Elliott’s suspension has finally begun and he will be gone for the next six games. Will the Cowboys be able to hold up? This week, yes. The Falcons just don’t have it anymore. That Super Bowl loss took something out of them and we’re seeing it this season. The Falcons still cannot hold onto leads and it’s haunted them all season. The Falcons will go up early as the Cowboys will struggle at first without Zeke. The Cowboys will orchestrate a comeback behind Dak, winning their first game without Zeke.
28-24 Cowboys
