“Him & I” just might be the 2017 version of Jay Z and Beyoncé’s 2014 smash single, “On the Run”. The track is the latest single from Oakland, California native rapper, G-Eazy latest album The Beautiful & Damned featuring his real life girlfriend and fellow recording artist, Halsey.
The track is the latest in a long line of iconic “ride or die” duets featuring a rapper and singer. On December 1st, the couple released their visual for the single and we get to see their romantic chemistry on screen. I genuinely love the choice of using raw video footage and dim lighting for this visual as it allows us to see the raw and organic love that these two have for each other while not going out of its way to be overtly sexual or too Bonnie and Clyde runaway bandits.
