Atlanta-based rapper Euro Gotit is a long away from where he started after serving 2 years in jail. Since then, Euro Gotit has been in the basement working on his passion, music. Standing on the outside looking in, Euro Gotit has always had the talent and wordplay to make it to the big leagues but has been always coming up short. Take a look into his discography and see the proof for yourself. It seems things are finally beginning to change in his favor with the recent release (4REIGN 4EVER out now). Euro Gotit has now attracted the attention of some of the biggest names in hip-hop now and laid the groundwork for an explosive takeover.
In his earlier work, Euro Gotit lacked direction, but had uncontained raw energy. In 2018, the ATL rapper dropped his debut album, 4N (Foreign), which brought him to the forefront of the deep south music scene. Things would only continue to bring Euro Gotit closer to what many can only hope to achieve. In heat of it all, Euro Gotit embodies what the new wave of rapper-singers strive for. With hard-hitting production mixed with on-target lyricism, it’s really hard to not request his music in a club. In a league plagued by fake and underlying tones of following a trend, Euro Gotit practices what he preaches. It’s no wonder artists like Future, Da Baby, and Roddy Ricch rush to the studio to lay tracks with him.
As mentioned above, rap and hip hop has transitioned to a more singing style of rapping. Like many in that growing genre, it tends to water down the effects most artists have. What separates Euro Gotit from the pack is his honest to god rawness and emotion. His rap style tends to border on trap rap but would be a disservice to call it that. His music more in line with that dirty outlandish Atlanta-style rap which isn’t a bad thing at all. In an industry caked with the “superficialness” of it all, Euro Gotit doesn’t try to be something he’s not. We don’t need more rappers like Euro Gotit, we just need everyone to get out the way and let him work.
