It was sure a Hot Girl Summer, but it’s definitely a hot girl year for Megan Thee Stallion, who is making big moves for her music career. From making her debut on the charts to now the big news of signing to a well-known, respected label.
On Sept. 13, the Houston rapper shared with social media that she signed to Roc Nation. She took to Twitter to announce her signing with a picture of her and the founder of Roc Nation, Jay-Z. The post read, “Officially apart of the @RocNation fam” including fire emoji’s to express how fire the news was. As for her Instagram post, she kept the same announcement adding, “The grind don’t stop ! #realhotgirlshit.”

We probably should have put it together once videos surfaced of Meg hanging out with Jay-Z at the Puma’s 5th Avenue opening back in Aug, but we might have confused it with a possible collab instead. However, the singing is great news and well-deserved for the hot girl herself.
There is no surprise that the young female rapper is hustling to get to where she wants to be. Meg Thee Stallion has been busy working and attending shows back to back. On Sept 12, she performed on the Jimmy Fallon Show then headed over to Rihanna’s Diamond Ball for another performance.
Meg also recently dropped the visual for her single “Hot Girl Summer” which features Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. The visual falls true to the lyrics expressing a summer night out, making it fun to watch and never want to leave summer.
We’ll see what else the young female rapper has planned with Roc Nation.
