ESPN has announced that they will be collaborating with DJ Khaled by naming him their music curator for Monday Night Football. This will allow the Grammy Award-winning producer to set the tone with tracks throughout the season on ESPN and ESPN Deportes on Monday nights.
Khaled took to Instagram to welcome the infamous sports center to his We The Best Family. He also shared some words in the press releases expressing his passed collabs with ESPN.
“I’m excited to collaborate with the NFL and ESPN again as we celebrate the return of the 2020 season,” Khaled expressed. “Last year was a movie, kicking off the Super Bowl in Miami and now I am providing the vibes for fans everywhere as a music curator for Monday Night Football. From working with ESPN in their creative campaign ‘READY FOR FOOTBALL’ to providing the soundtrack for the NFL season – this is going to be epic.”
The producer will be playing music for five games during the pregame shows, promotional spots, live telecasts. DJ Khaled will also be choosing a special song to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which will take place at the Chargers and Saints game on October 12.
“We’re incredibly excited to collaborate with DJ Khaled to curate music for Monday Night Football throughout the season,” Emeka Ofodile, ESPN’s Vice President of Sports Marketing, said. “Music is one of the greatest tools we have to connect with fans, and the NFL on ESPN brand is a place to work with some of the best DJs and producers in the industry.
ESPN began giving well-respected music artists this role last year with Diplo. Now, it’s DJ Khaled time to bring the vibes to football season. Catch him Monday, Sept. 28 for the Chiefs and Ravens face off.
