On Jan. 21, Alicia Keys announced the release of her 7th album titled Alicia is expected to hit streaming platforms on March 20.
The artwork that Keys posted to go along with the announcement included four headshots of the artist with braids, little to no make-up and bare chest. Just the simple and natural Alicia we know of. The photos are taken in every angle in the sense that we get to see every part of her. The background includes colorful tones of purple, orange and turquoise.
Alicia also took to Instagram to announce her tour for the album. In a video posted on Instagram, she playfully made a dare stating that if she made a strike, she would go on tour. Luckily for fans, she succeeded in one take.
The tour includes several dates, countries and cities beginning June 5 in Dublin, Ireland and ending Sept. 22 in Miami, Florida.
Alicia is set to host the 2020 GRAMMYS in Los Angeles on Jan. 26, which would be her second time around hosting the well-known show. According to Variety, she is the first female artist to host the GRAMMYS twice and makes her the third woman to host the event.
There has yet to be a track-list released or any insight on features that might be included on her new album, Alicia. For the full list of the tour head to Alicia Keys’ official website.
