With Covid-19 huge impact on the world, many fashion weeks was put on ice due to the underlying problem of Covid-19. However, as of today, many fashion lovers will be able to witness the stylish looks from some of their favorite fashion brands during Paris Fashion Week. Paris Fashion Week is set to start on Sept. 28th and ends on Oct. 6th.
Paris Fashion Week is set to showcase up to 20 physical fashion shows. Some fashion brands that will have a physical fashion show include Dior, Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton. Fashion Week will also offer a variety of other presentations from smaller fashion designers and brands.
Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode released a list full of 84 brands that will be welcome to show up their line at this year’s Paris Fashion Week. The planned shows for Paris Fashion Week will be 20 presentations and 45 digital events.
When it comes to safety at Paris Fashion Week, The Fédération is taking close measures on how to keep everyone safe during the week. The Fédération is working very closely with authorities. They have been taking advice and recommendations from brands that are holding events in the French capital. They also are working closely with regional health authorities to create specific protocols for the shows and presentations. The number of guests depends on the venue the fashion show and presentation is held in. However, The Fédération has stated that the majority of fashion brands plan to invite 20 to 25 percent of the number, which is a huge audience difference compared to previous shows in Paris Fashion Week.
Many fashion brands and labels have been preparing for the shows and presentations very carefully with limited guests attending or no guest at all. The complications of Covid-19 raises the possibility that many fashion brands will have to change what they have planned quickly.
The Fédération also has many ways they plan on showing digital content for presentations. They partnered with many companies like Launchmetrics, Google, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook to make sure Paris Fashion Week could run smoothly virtually.
There are many people who are excited to see what fashion designers are going to bring to the table after the long pause Covid-19 seemed to put on the world during this Paris Fashion Week. However, it’s important to hope Paris Fashion Week goes by smoothly and safely due to the pandemic.
