Arguably going to be one of the best streetwear collaborations in 2018 is Palace collaborating with Polo Ralph Lauren. Just about every piece was done so properly and did both brand is justice, as any collaboration should. From outerwear to flannels to pants to shoes and to even a teddy bear, the collection has a variety of flavors to choose from. If you have been following Polo for the past few decades, you know that these pieces have a very nostalgic feeling mixed with a modern day twist. I also like how Palace took original Polo pieces and made it modern using all-over prints, cut-and-sew flannels, and bright storytelling colors.

The collection dropped on November 9, 2018 and by now has flown off shelves. This collaboration was definitely one of the best this year has seen from the execution and marketing. Polo Ralph Lauren released a lookbook shot by British photographer David Sims, as well as a trailer video showcasing models on horses wearing the collaboration from head to toe. My favorite of the collection will have to be the black crewneck featuring the iconic Polo bear doing a kickflip on a skateboard, symbolizing the two brands at its creative fullest.
The best part outside of the clothing itself has to be the level of marketing and exposure both the brands pushed in order to manifest the success of this collaboration. A lookbook, multiple videos, product shots, model shots, and advertisements were made all to get people talking and stir up the hype. It was simply brilliant.
Let me know what you guys think of the collection. Is it hot or not? Would you cop or drop?
