COVID-19 has made its mark in our daily lives by incorporating masks everywhere we go. Many people have taken it into their own hands to create different masks with their interests and logos on it.
For Louis Vuitton, they’ve decided to take an extra step with being cautious and design a complete face shield for their customers.
The face shield, that comes in at $961, will feature the LV monogrammed pattern on a headband and gold studs. It will also include a transition lens that allows the mask to protect from sunlight to dark. Not only will it be a face shield, but can also be worn as a protective hat.
According to USA Today, experts expressed that face shields are expected to protect your eyes from receiving any droplets from others, as the shields are still being tested on whether they completely protect from COVID.
“A face shield is primarily used for eye protection for the person wearing it,” USA Today reported from the CDC. “At this time, it is not known what level of protection a face shield provides to people nearby from the spray of respiratory droplets from the wearer. There is currently not enough evidence to support the effectiveness of face shields for source control.”
This is not the first time that Louis Vuitton has expressed their care for their customers, when it’s come to the Coronavirus. Recently, they have designed several different masks for the pandemic.
The new fashion statement is taking cautiousness to another level. The LV face shields are expected to be released October 30th worldwide for their Cruise Collection.
