What can be described as the epitome of festival season, the humble flower crown has received a chic makeover, courtesy of hairstylist Oldie Gilbert and LA-based florist Joseph Free.
Rodarte has always been the pinnacle of beauty , and was missed from the New York Fashion Week schedule from last season. But the show on the West Bank in Paris this past Monday made up for the anticipated view, with models showcasing embellished crowns made up of real flowers and putting the iconic festival look in a whole new perspective.
The look itself was from the minds of Oldie Gilbert and Los Angeles-based florist, Joseph Free, who provided elaborate garlands of a delicate white blossom, which Gilbert placed on the model’s heads along with gold metal bows silk ribbons, and other details designed by Rodarte.
Besides the gorgeous accessory , Gilbert also used hair products from the brand Bumble & Bumble BB Texture Gel-crème to enhance the texture of the hair so it looks more outdoorsy.
