Rodney Sawyerr the 25-year-old CEO of Rod Reclusive is designing unique apparel for both women and men! Sawyerr has now collaborated with the brand Molowo to synthesize a collection including bubble coats, joggers, and denim jackets.
It all started with his mentality of standing outside of social norms. Sawyerr received immediate attention from his classmates whom would compliment him on his “dope” sense of style.
“I don’t put myself in a category,” said Sawyerr. “Some days I might feel grungy or urban; I’m the type to wear dress slacks with a pair of air forces.”
Photographers that he befriended introduced sawyerr to Tumblr and the second semester of his freshman year at UMES is where his popularity skyrocketed through his Tumblr fame.
Sawyerr is well-known for “The Outsiders” movement, lifestyle and clothing brand on the UMES campus. The mission is to represent those people who stood outside of the crowd or the outcasts.
“I will give my life to the youth and through them, I will live forever,” said Sawyerr.
All of this newly found appreciation for his creative style has led him to launch Reclusively Exclusive on the Molowo website. Check out the highly favored denim jacket that includes two pockets within each pocket and other hidden features that you will find in each handcrafted design.
The designs are handcrafted items that have shapes and dope architectural inspired pieces that embodies the unique foundation of his collection.
“I wanted to create the best quality of products for an affordable price,” said Sawyerr. “I create wearable art!”
