After it’s first release of Ivy Park in 2016, founded by Beyoncé. Ivy Park is back with a unisex collection and a new partnership, Adidas.
Taking to Instagram on Dec. 9, the singer revealed pieces from her collection with Adidas, which is set to release on Jan. 18. The new partnership will include footwear for the first time, jewelry, gender-neutral clothing, and accessories.
“I focused on designing a unisex collection of footwear and apparel because I saw so many men in Ivy Park. The way they have embraced the brand is an unexpected gift,” said Beyoncé in an interview with ELLE. “I appreciate the beauty of gender-neutral clothing and breaking the so-called fashion rules. I took a chance on myself when I bought my company back. We all have the confidence in us to take chances and bet on ourselves.”
Previously launched in 2016 with Topshop tycoon, Philip Green. Beyoncé took full ownership of the brand back in November 2018, after sexual assault allegations arose against Green.
According to the photography on ELLE, the clothing line will also include sporty dresses, asymmetrical coats, short-sleeved hoodies, tracksuits and more.
“This is the partnership of a lifetime for me,” said Beyoncé in a press release. “Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business. I look forward to relaunch an expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader.”
