It’s finally Leo season, but, you probably already knew that. Leo’s are one of the proudest zodiacs, so this month will not go unnoticed by them. With their pride comes a unique personality, they are often extremely creative and hardworking which often pushes them to industries where they can create and inspire others. They tend to look to spaces where they can lead the pack. Their season lasts from July 22nd to August 23rd. Here’s a tribute to some of Hollywood’s favorite Leo’s.
Starting off with the one and only Devon Lee Carlson, born on August 3rd, she will be turning 29 this year and her party will be nothing less than exquisite. Carlson is known for many things, but her eye for fashion has made her very popular and many often look to her for the latest trends. She has modeled and collaborated with brands such as Relisation Par, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, YSL, and Burberry. You can find her off the runway too, the entrepreneur and her family started Wildflower Cases back in 2012, though it wasn’t intentional. The cases began as a side hobby for their mom Michelle, who would often make cases for Devon and her friends. The birth of their company came from Miley Cyrus after Devon and her sister Sydney bumped into Cyrus in a local Los Angeles restaurant. They asked for a photo and she was curious about their phone case; shortly after, they explained their homemade cases Cyrus posted them on her Twitter. This tweet changed everything for the Carlson family. Their company has grown to tremendous success and even attention from other celebrities. Devon really set the trend for phone cases, practically making an everyday item like your phone a fashionable accessory. She truly embodies so much of her sign.
American rapper Lil Uzi Vert will turn 28 on July 31st this year. Uzi has generated a lot of traction, which has allowed him to grow a large fanbase. However, this isn’t something he takes for granted. Back in 2019, Uzi presented one of his fans, Raheel Ahmad $90,000 to cover all of his tuition expenses at Tempe University. When he isn’t paying for college tuition, you may find him dancing or even showing off in some of his eye-catching outfits. His individualistic personality has allowed him to grow an incredible fanbase and gain respect within the rap community.
Unless you have been living under a rock, this next Leo truly needs no introduction. Entrepreneur and reality star Kylie Jenner will be turning 26 on August 10th this year. Jenner is not easily intimidated by a challenge, which has helped her grow in her industry. Kylie turned one of her favorite hobbies into a business in 2014 when she introduced her make-up collection, Kylie Cosmetics. In the beginning, it started with lip kits, and since then the company has expanded and is now worth about $1.2 Billion. Jenner never stops working; she is also a mom of two beautiful children; Stormi and Aire Webster.
Some may know him as Michael Scott, others may call him Steve Carell. Either way, this hilarious actor will be turning 61 this year on August 16th. Carell has embodied nothing less of a creative spirit. He has been in over 48 movies, with a wide range of flexibility between his characters. He can have you laughing one minute and crying the next. His most recent appearance is in Wes Anderson’s “Astroid City” playing a nosy front desk receptionist. No matter the role he will always leave a lasting impression—it’s the Leo charm.
Today he’s busy solving cold cases, which he seems to have a knack for. This next Leo certainly can’t be confined; Actor, Comedian, Writer, and Musician, there’s nothing he can’t do. Steve Martin will be turning 78 on August 14th. Holding over 13 Primetime Emmy Awards and one Tony away from EGOT status, Martin has surely made a lasting impression on society, certainly for more than just wearing a trench coat and rocking an impressive mustache.
Whether she’s making you cry on a late-night drive or leaving you nostalgic for a relationship, her music moves you. American singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers will be turning 29 this year on August 17th. With four Grammy nominations and over eight features with artists like SZA, Taylor Swift, Kid Cudi, and The 1975, Bridgers is not only a solo artist; she’s also the lead singer of the band Boy Genius, which consists of two other musicians: Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus. Leo’s are often known for their deep, emotional side, which Bridgers certainly invites you to experience through her music.
This next one certainly won’t surprise you; his ambition and talent always kept you intrigued. American Rapper, Activist, and Entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle would have been 38 this year. Hussle won two Grammys in 2020, and although he wasn’t there to physically accept them, his presence filled the room. His hardworking spirit truly inspired so many; he was a legend taken from society too soon. However, his memory still lives on throughout the rap community to this day. He truly embodied a Leo through and through. May this legend continue to rest in peace.
Leo’s are ruled by the sun and therefore they are a sign that is impossible to forget. Their ambition and creativity leave a lasting impression. It’s no surprise that many of these individuals are Leos. Their work ethic and art truly speaks for themselves.
