Chance the Rapper is working on a new non-musical enterprise. On his new track, “I Might Need Security,” the rapper reveals that he purchased the assets of The Chicagoist through WNYC in New York City.
The artist said, “I bought the Chicagoist just to run you racist bitches outta business.”
According to wync.org, the deal happened between Chance The Rapper’s LLC. and WNYC public radio station and the national audio producer.
“I’m extremely excited to be continuing the work of the Chicagoist, an integral local platform for Chicago news, events and entertainment,” he said.

This radio station provides award-winning journalism and groundbreaking audio programming, to name a couple things to expect from the New York public radio station.
The New York Times published that Chance The Rapper will immediately obtain the power of one of the most prominent publishers in the city.
The Grammy award-winner said, “I look forward to re-launching it and bringing the people of Chicago an independent media outlet focused on amplifying diverse voices and content.”
