Amid the Coronavirus, lending a helping hand has become special to many. For Anthony Tiffith, Top Dawg Entertainment’s boss man, took it into his own hands to give back to elderlies in the Los Angeles area.
Top Dawg is known for giving back to his community and the areas he grew up in. From Christmas toy drives with a free concert in Nickerson Gardens to many other gestures that aren’t put into the public eye. This time around he has decided to pay rent for 311 families in Watts, CA public housings, such as Imperial Courts, Jordan Downs, and Nickerson Gardens.
A post from L.A. Councilmember Joe Buscaino shared a photo of Tiffith and himself from one of the toy drives. The caption expressed appreciation and gratitude for Tiffith’s helping hand. He also quoted TDE’s founder with a special message.
“Senior citizens are a group that are often overlooked,’’ Tiffith said on Buscaino’s post. “This gesture is not just about philanthropy but humanity overall, and it’s just the kind of good news our city needs right now.’’
Top Dawg didn’t stop there. To continue the week of giving back, he also celebrated his birthday with fans by dropping music from fellow TDE members. The first to drop music for the week was Ab-Soul with “Dangerookipawaa Freestyle,” Zacari the next day with “Edamame,” Isaiah Rashad to follow that “ Why Worry,” day four was Inglewood SiR with “Rapper Weed,” and to close it all was Reason with “Might Not Make It.”
Although it was Tiffith’s birthday week, he still took the time to give back to fans and the community, as he knows best. The new TDE music can be found on all streaming platforms.
