The famous Singer, Songwriter, and performer Rihanna will be launching a luxury fashion brand with the investment of LVMH, marking the first time that the conglomerate has launched a brand from inception since Christian Lacroix in 1987. They have also announced the collection would be based in none other than, Paris. By partnering with the luxury conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy–Louis Vuitton SE to launch Fenty, Rihanna became the first black woman and woman of color to run a major luxury fashion house and the first woman to launch an original LVMH brand. Also now Rihanna is the highest paid Female Entainter in the world! Fenty clearly pays well.
LVMH is home to 70 distinguished Houses rooted in six different sectors, Rihanna inputting her brand into the Fashion and Leather Goods sector. True to tradition, each of these brands builds on a specialty legacy while keeping an unwavering focus on the exquisite caliber of its products.
The Fenty brand is already known for Fenty Beauty, a cosmetics brand launched in September 2017 by singer Rihanna. The singer made its mark on the world by having an inclusive cosmetics brand. All across skin tones and gender, especially it’s Pro Filt’R foundation have women eager to get matched and finally have makeup true to their skin. The original foundation launch included 40 shades since expanded to 50.
“I use myself as the muse,” Rihanna told The New York Times Style Magazine. “It’s sweatpants with pearls or a masculine denim jacket with a corset. I feel like we live in a world where people are embracing every bit of who they are.”
Men, Women, and Gender-neutral fashion is said to be presented on the Fenty website and some are speculating she will also have a home decor to add to the collection. Of course, we all know that Rihanna keeps everything secretive until the opening, so we can only assume she will put on a real show when it is time.
The multi-talented Rihanna has officially opened all browsers for the Luxurious Luxury Brand. The clothing line launched a pop-up shop at the end of May in Paris to give shoppers a glance at what we should expect. Now it has opened onto its global online shop as of Wednesday, May 24th.
