On Saturday, 22-year-old Timothy Leeks was charged with the murder of 26-year-old rapper King Von.

King Von, whose real name was Dayvon Bennett, was one of two people killed during a fight outside of an Atlanta nightclub.
In footage of the fight released on Twitter, chaos broke out as a large group of club attendees were seen leaving the club, and punches were thrown by individuals from all sides. Shortly thereafter, panic and chaos ensued as a man appeared from behind a nearby vehicle and began to open fire on the men brawling.
From the video, it is apparent that three people were struck by the assailant, with one managing to escape the scene by hopping into a vehicle. It was later declared that this was King Von being rushed to emergency care in the vehicle.
Timothy Leeks is now in custody for the presumed murder of King Von and another victim Mark Blakely. While the third victim remains in critical condition, it is not clear who shot this individual. Mr. Leeks was apprehended safely by two off duty police officers working at a hookah lounge and one other on-duty officer.
Truly a tragic and senseless act of violence has claimed yet another young up and coming rapper. The late King Von’s music made it to the top ten on the USA Billboard chart as a sign of respect and admiration for the fallen King.
