On Saturday, Rapper from the hip-hop trio Migos, Offset, was detained in Beverly Hills. He was detained after the police stopped him as he was driving through a pro-Trump rally. Offset streamed the altercation on his Instagram Live. In the live, it is shown Offset refusing to exit his vehicle as many police officers were surrounding it.
During the Instagram Live, it shows Offset talking with multiple police officers as they asked him to step out of his car. In the video, you could see a police car behind Offset’s car and officers standing outside of Offset’s car. During the back and forth between the rapper and police officers, Offset mentions that one of the Trump supporters attacked his car with a flag.
A female officer approaches Offset car and informs him that they’re responding to a report that someone was “waving guns” at people near the pro-Trump rally.
As the live continues, the situation didn’t get any better. A male officer stepped forward and forced himself into Offset’s car after unlocking it himself. The live ends shortly after Offset is pulled out of his car. It also was reported that when Cardi B arrived at the scene, she had to be restrained and calmed down due to what happened.

The Beverly Hills Police Department made a statement regarding the altercation. Although, Offset was not charged with anything. BHPD stated that Marcelo Almánzar, who was identified to be Cardi B’s cousin by TMZ was also in the car with Offset during the altercation on his Instagram Live, which led to Almánzar being charged with one count of carrying a concealed weapon and one count of carrying a loaded firearm in public. BPD also stated that “the victim of the crime did not desire to press charges for the pointing of the gun.”

After being released from BHPD custody, Offset thanked his fans for the support and wished everyone peace and safety during these times. He also encouraged everyone to go out and vote. Even if Offset mentioned possibly suing BHPD on his live, it hasn’t been officially reported that he actually did it yet.
