Imagine reading a bedtime story to children from a book filled with lyrics and quotes from some of your favorite rappers? Well, it’s possible thanks to a talented graphic artist.
The artists, who go by @chadnikesb, shared on Instagram on Nov. 27 the book covers of his new creative idea that his company The Space Bakery will be adding to their inventory. The books went viral and landed on hip-hop news outlets like HipHopDX.
The graphic designer, animator, and hip-hop creative has developed a book series about rappers inspired by children’s books, such as Dr. Seuss and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The books feature lyrics from great rappers, like Nipsey Hussle, Youngboy Never Broke Again, and Lil Baby.
Nipsey’s book cover can be found in all blue with a Dr. Seuss character-like of Hussle, as it’s titled, The Crip Known As Nip. For YoungBoy, it showcases the same theme from the children’s book No, David!, as YoungBoy grabs the fishbowl. Lil Baby’s takes on the infamous children’s book Diary of A Wimpy Kid, which features the rapper wearing a chain and backpack. There’s also a little message that reads, “A hustler turned rapper.”
You can purchase these books, shirts, and posters on the official The Space Bakery website. The books are currently available for pre-order, but there is a limited amount. You can also follow the artist for more updates on Instagram here.
