From March 6th to March 12th, the annual Spring Break Art Show will be held in Times Square. Each year during Armory Arts Week, over 200 galleries are presented across New York City, according to the Armory Show.
The Spring Break Art Show is a “curator-driven art fair event” where curators apply to select artists that fit a certain theme and aesthetic for the show. The Spring Break Art Show does not require artists to pay for their exhibition space, giving them an opportunity to express their art to the public and other curators during this international art week.
At the show, art will also be auctioned off so that the artists can profit from their works. Some profits will go to charities as well, such as charities dedicated to protecting New York artist’s rights. Some of the art featured at the show has been given sneak-peeks on the events Facebook page, but to see more, check out the art show this coming week.
