It’s no secret that girl groups have taken over. Instead of one powerful voice, groups have been put together over the course of time to highlight a number of powerful voices. Some girl groups that were popular in the 90’s were Xscape, Destinys Child, 3LW, En Vogue, and the list goes on and on. 1. Destinys Child- Say My Name
Destinys Child is made up of Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. While the group has gone thru the process of adding and removing members throughout the years, Beyonce and Kelly were always mainstays in the group. Check out their song Say My Name down below.
2. 3LW- No More
The three members of 3LW were Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, and Naturi Naughton. These ladies emerged on the scene in the early 2000’s and No More was one of their most popular songs
3. Xscape- Understanding
Instead of three members, Xscape had 4 with members: Tiny, Kandi, Tamika, and Latocha. These ladies had HITS in the 90’s but unfortunately broke up. The group recently came back together a couple months ago and are going on tour again. Check out one of their many hits.
4. TLC- No Scrubs
TLC is composed of T-boz, Left Eye (now deceased), and Chili. They were and still are an iconic group. They had many hits, and even released a biopic a couple of years ago that document their story of how they rose to fame. The group is still together but missing the late Left Eye. 5. Spice Girls- Wannabe
The Spice Girls was a girl group that originated in the UK but quickly rose to fame all over the world. The group featured 5 spice girls in total. Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Victoria Beckham ( née Adams) all made up the girl group. Although they had a collection of hits, Wannabe is their most famous song.
