For nearly the past week, singer Doja Cat has been the centered of media backlash after old video clips of her using racial slurs in, what it looks like, according to reports, in a white supremacist chatroom.
Last weekend, the “Say So” singer posted a note on her Instagram, addressing the resurfaced videos and tried to clear her name after millions of fans and others on social media created a hashtag #DojaCatisCancelled. In the note, the 24-year old singer said that she is sorry for being involved in those racist conversations and that she had personally never said anything racist against other black people.
However, some may beg to differ as Doja Cat had made a song in 2015 called “Dindu Nuthin”, a term apparently used by the alt-right as a racist slur to refer to people of color, “who’ve been victims of police brutality and have asserted their innocence,” according to Patrick Hosken of MTV News.

In addition to Doja Cat’s believed public apology, she went on Instagram live to discuss further about the issue, stating, “I’m not perfect. At the end of the day, I shouldn’t be doing dumb shit. But also I need to stand up for myself instead of making a video that’s diplomatically and politically correct.”
The singer also went to address that in fact, she does not care for having her song #1 on the Billboard charts and the people making threatening remarks towards her life.
One celebrity that came out publicly against Doja Cat is none other than “Nino Brown himself, rapper and government informant Daniel “6ix9ine” Hernandez, who has been beefing with fans and other celebs about his situation. The celebrities that Nino Hernandez been beefing with are rappers Snoop Dogg, G Herbo, Lil TJay, and singer Ariana Grande.
In regards to his beef with Doja Cat, the government informant says that she is canceled once his song, “GOOBA” reaches the Billboard charts after he exposed Billboard of not properly accredited him and his streams.
