The long-awaited Disney+ App will soon be available right in the palm of your hands. The streaming platform will officially launch in the US, Canada, and the Netherlands on November 12th.
The price is set to rival that of Netflix’s at just $7 a month. If users choose, they can also add Hulu and ESPN+ for an additional $5 per month. Another feature that rivals that of Netflix is that there will not be the recycling of content, meaning any shows or movies that are within the app are there to stay permanently.
The Disney+ App picked up a lot of buzz when Marvel announced a multitude of their upcoming shows will be exclusively streamed there. Considering the success and admiration of Avenger: Endgame, fans were foaming at the mouth to watch the new shows. It will also be home to the Star Wars Movies and Pixar films.
It will also be available on more than just your phones. Come launch date, users will be able to use the app via Android and iOS, Apple TV, Android-based TV devices, Google Chromecast; XBOX One and PlayStation 4 Consoles, and Roku.
If fans don’t want to wait until the launch date, then they can download the app for pre-subscription where they will be offered a free 7-day trial. Also, if you have phone service through Verizon, you’re in luck. Disney announced that all of Verizon’s customers will receive the service free of charge for an entire year.
There is a slate of over 600 movies and TV shows that will be accessible and there is also a “kid-zone” feature that will allow parents to filter out any content that they do not want their child to see.
If you’re looking for an app where you can experience all of your childhood favorite movies all over again and quite a few new ones, then the Disney+ App just might be for you.
