Dreamville’s creative hip hop duo, EarthGang, dropped their album Mirrorland the beginning of this month along with a video game inspired by the album to go along with it.
Curated by Ali Graham, who specializes in hip hop inspired illustration and animation, Mirrorland the game takes you on an adventure to find Mirrorland while following a red brick road that includes Rags to Royalty.
As a player, of either Olu’s or Wowgr8’s character, you have to fight off flying monkeys, zombies and robots while collecting coins to gain power that will help you clear the way for your journey. The game also includes characters of the Dreamville squad such as J. Cole, Bas, J.I.D and Ari Lennox to name a few. Once you reach the end of the game, after defeating all levels of difficulty, you not only find Mirrorland but also get the chance to unlock videos, audio, and discounts from EarthGang.
Graham posted on Instagram that the idea of the game came from a drawing of a GIF he did of Dreamville’s member J.I.D and after six weeks the game was completed.
The animations take you back to old school video games but also brings in the new hip style that you’ll enjoy. The Mirrorland game is free and available on Apple IOS and Android. The album is also available on all streaming platforms.
