Apple’s much-anticipated iPhone 16 event is officially set for September 9 at 1 PM ET, at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. The event, tagged “It’s Glowtime,” is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 lineup along with other hardware updates. The iPhone 16 will likely feature a new chipset to support the latest AI-powered Apple Intelligence and possible design changes like a vertical camera orientation and an action button replacing the mute switch.
Alongside the iPhone 16, Apple is also set to debut the Apple Watch Series 10, which may include a larger 49mm screen and a redesigned band system. However, this redesign might render older bands incompatible with the new model. As usual, Apple will also release its latest operating system updates—iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and watchOS 11—shortly after the event. However, the much-talked-about Apple Intelligence features won’t be available until iOS 18.1, expected to roll out in October.
Additionally, updated AirPods may also be revealed, with expectations of both entry-level and mid-tier versions of AirPods 4, the latter possibly featuring wireless charging for the case.
The event will be live-streamed on YouTube, Apple’s website, and the Apple TV app. Full coverage of the announcements will be available here on TUC Magazine.
