It’s a known fact that Black Twitter makes many situations in the world ten times more hilarious than they’re supposed to be, with reactions to virtual Verzuz battles or even making fun of a typo in an article. Black Twitter is described to be black people on the popular social media app Twitter. The comical event that took place last week on Twitter included Marvel’s well-known superhero Vision and a lot of photoshopping.
The Marvel franchise always has had the internet world talking with their action-packed and plot twist-filled films, but due to Covid-19, it seemed like Marvel had to put a lot of their theatrical releases on hold. But that didn’t stop the Marvel timeline from going forward. They released their first tv series that connects to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) on Jan. 15th, 2021, which that series was Wandavision.
Wandavision is based on the Marvel Comics characters Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision. The tv series takes place right after the events of Avengers: Endgame and it also sets up the future events that will happen in the upcoming film Doctor Strange 2: The Multiverse of Madness.
As the episodes of Wandavision were airing weekly on Disney+ and many memes and reactions were made, nothing seemed to top the most recent meme of Vision from the season 1 finale. In one scene, Vision is seen wearing a black turtle neck. Which it didn’t take that long for Vision to turn into Vishawn when Black Twitter photoshopped a gold chain around his neck and followed it with many hilarious tweets.

Photoshopping various things on Vision’s photo was the hilarious laugh of the week for social media. With Marvel’s next series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier airing on March 19th, we’ll just have to wait to see if Black Twitter makes another infamous meme for the world to laugh at.
