Young Thug never fails to surprise fans with unexpected announcements.
Recently, he announced via Twitter that he would be changing his name to “SEX” and to call him “SEX” from now on.
Now, he has said something else that no one would expect from the hard-working rapper who released two albums and an EP in 2017.
According to a recent interview posted by Hypebeast, Thug announced that he will not release any new music this year in support of his deaf brother.
“I’ve got a deaf brother,” Thug says in the clip. “I’ve got a brother who can’t hear or talk, so I want to act deaf for a year. So I ain’t going to put out no music this year.”
If you’re a huge Young Thug fan like I am, this announcement broke your heart. But hey, I respect and support his empathetic reasoning.
On the bright side, Thug announced that he would probably release his highly-awaited album Hi-Tunes in 2019, so stay tuned!
