In just a few days, the release of Vince Staples’ highly anticipated sophomore album is about to drop. “It’s time to go crazy,” Vince said this past Sunday. Monday night he also confirmed the forthcoming arrival of his new music, tweeting the release and cover art for, Big Fish Theory.
As indicated in tweets, Big Fish Theory, the long awaited release will be out on Friday, May 19 at midnight. Streaming platforms usually follow Eastern Time, but Staples didn’t specify a particular time zone.
Just last month, Vince explained to Complex that Big Fish Theory delves into the idea of “being larger than life in a smaller world.” Moreover, the only single he has released since the 2015 LP Summertime ’06 is this past February’s “BagBak.” If I had to make a guess, with the visuals of an aquarium that is in the YouTube stream, the single will most likely be seen on Big Fish Theory.
