Decades into his career, Mr. Usher Raymond still continues to wow the world with his impeccable dance moves, smooth talking lyrics, and high charisma. Usher united yet again with Atlanta’s finest, Young Thug for the heavy dance-loaded “No Limit” video. The hot collaboration was released in the earlier part of June; however, the video was exclusively released on Tidal, on Friday (Aug. 5).
In the beginning of the video, Usher is seen confidently rocking a Haider Ackermann blue velvet jacket, gold jewelry, glasses, and even a grill as he performs his signature spin and other familiar dance moves. As the video progresses, the 37-year-old is joined by a troop of dancers against a white backdrop as they vigorously throw down on the dance floor. With sharp pop locks, smooth transitions, and heavy foot work, Mr. Raymond effortlessly kills throughout the entire video, making it known that he still has the same swag, skills, and moves that made the world fall in love with him many years ago. While watching the video, one even might ask, “What water does Usher drink,” because the man simply shows no signs of aging!
His dancing and intricate choreography emits fun and pure entertainment. In one part of the video, the camera swiftly changes shots and shows various young people dancing with Usher. The video not only shows that Usher can hang with youngest of them all and still easily kill it, but it also shows that the young ones can also teach Usher a few tricks of their own. The young people take over the video (in a sense) and begin doing some of the new dances that have become popular in today’s generation. Usher is seen doing some of the moves as well but he incorporates them into his own moves placing his own innovative, smooth twist to them. The video showcases many extremely talented young dancers and radiates positivity and fun throughout the entirety of the video. While the media tries to display all the harsh and negative aspects of today’s generation, Usher’s video helps to display a more positive and fun side of the youth that many media platforms seem to avoid. The video truly celebrates young people (and youth) as whole and makes you either wish you were in the video, get up and dance, or both!
The enigmatic, charismatic Young Thug also exhibits his unique style in the video in a multi-colored shirt and an abundant amount of gold jewelry (as usual) as he performs his verse in the trap & b hit. In the video, Thug also seems as though he’s enjoying himself as he raps his verse and dances around with Usher. Young Thug was not the only one to grace the video. Cameos were made by the likes of the “Trap God” himself, Gucci Mane, Boosie BadAzz, and Ty Dolla $ign.
The song comes before Usher’s highly anticipated and long awaited album Flawed. This will be the superstar’s eighth album and marks the follow-up to his 2012 album, Looking 4 Myself. Until its release, check out Usher’s “No Limit” here!
