It looks like a west coast take over this year. Last Saturday, Top Dawg’s President, Anthony Tiffith confirmed on Twitter that Top Dawg Entertainment has a lot in store for us for the rest of 2017. Aside from Kendrick Lamar’s expected album release, which is set up for April 14th, Tiffith confirmed SZA’s album will be out this year. SZA’s album “CTRL” was scheduled to come out February 3rd, but due to label complications, it was rescheduled. Fans have been awaiting new music from the artist since her last release back in 2014.
Not only did Tiffith announce new SZA music, but he confirmed new Jay Rock and Schoolboy Q albums for this year. It’s been a year since Schoolboy dropped his album, “Blank Face LP”, while Jay Rock hasn’t released an album since his “90059” in 2015. This should definitely be a year to remember by Top Dawg Entertainment.
