After the month-long wait to be able to be singing our favorite throwback R&B songs, Ashanti and Keyshia Cole finally met up to compete in the popular virtual event, Verzuz. After the delay due to Ashanti testing positive to Covid-19, many fans of both of the singers were waiting for the Verzuz battle. Finally, after two pushbacks, Ashanti and Keyshia Cole was able to go head to head. Although the two weren’t in the same building together compared to the previous Verzuz battles, they did share their own songs in the comfort of separate studios.
Both Ashanti and Keyshia Cole are two artists who helped shape the R&B industry. They’re both known for their songs that had many of us singing as if we were either in love or just went through the biggest heartbreak.
When it comes to the Verzuz battles, it’s like a huge event for the music industry. With fans debating on who will win the battle despite at the end, there’s never an official winner announced. The best thing about these Verzuz battles is always the way social media react to them.
