It’s been almost two years. On March 9th, 2018, it will be the second year anniversary of “Lil Boat”, Lil Yachty’s debut mixtape. On March 9th, he will be releasing the sequel, “Lil Boat 2”.
While we know his timing was perfect with his follow up to “Lil Boat”, what do we really know about “Lil Boat 2” so far?
Since Yachty’s last album, “Teenage Emotions” released back in May, we know he’s still been in and out of the studio. Although “Lil Boat 2” was originally supposed to launch back in December, the rapper had been releasing music throughout and had clarified it was still on the way.
He took to Instagram live to tell fans the album was complete, but it wasn’t until February 21st when Lil Yachty wiped his Instagram clean and released this:
The Instagram post was a confirmation to the Sailing Team that March 9th will be the official release date for his follow-up, studio album.

In the meantime, the artist released, “Most Wanted”, a song produced by Earl The Pearl. Lil Yachty said the song did not make the album but it’s definitely worth a listen.
