On July 2, Lil Wayne took to Instagram to share that his 2015 album Free Weezy Album would hit all streaming platforms for the 5th anniversary.
The Free Weezy Album was released exclusively on Tidal and for their users. Now that The 13-track album includes features from Wiz Khalifa, Jeezy, Cory Gunz, HoodyBaby, Capo, Junior Reid, Jake Troth and Euro.
According to Complex, the album has a few changes to it, as some of the songs from the original tracklist are missing or have been added. Songs like “Without You,” “Thinking About You” and “He’s Dead” are not included on the new streaming album. Instead, we are given the track “We Livin’ Like That,” which is new to the release.
This album was apart of the many albums that were involved in the lawsuit with Cash Money Records, as the release date was pushed back because of it. Weezy later partnered up with Tidal to release the Free Weezy Album in 2015, which is when Tidal first took off.
Recently, Wayne has been busy with his Young Money Radio on Apple Music, where he sits down with different guests, such as Usher, Jadakiss, Fabolous, and more to converse about many topics. He’s also been working on his Marijuana brand GKUA Ultra Premium that features all the supplies and gadgets needed.
