Dreamville’s fastest rhymer, J.I.D, added three tracks to his discography on all streaming services. Two of which have been heard by fans from earlier releases and a brand new song.
J.I.D took to social media to announce the big news to his fans that the tracks “Cludder,” “Bruuuh” featuring Denzel Curry, and “Ballads” with Conway The Machine were available.
“[W]e putting “Cludder” and “Ballads” ft @WHOISCONWAY up on streaming services finally and releasing the “Bruuh” remix with @denzelcurry tonight…,” he wrote on Twitter. “they’re new if u haven’t heard em yet.”
The “Cludder” freestyle produced by Nice Rec and Christo had already surfaced on the internet from a YouTube and SoundCloud release back in Oct. 2020. It was a hit freestyle for many fans, as they wished they could add it to their daily playlist on streaming services. He raps about the reality of people dying, students trapping in school bathrooms, and robbing homes.
He raps, “Lil’ bad kid tryna act big/ I’ll send him home with an ass-kickin’ then an aspirin/ Stick to the rap shit.”
As for “Bruuuh” remix featuring Curry, is a long-awaited track to hit streaming platforms. According to UPROXX, the original version of “Bruuuh” was released before the rapper signed with Dreamville and then reveal that there was a remix in 2019 yet to be released.
The two rappers flow perfectly on the beat as they take turns spitting their bars. J.I.D raps about putting on for family and not letting anyone take his spot in the rap game. Curry takes on back-to-back punchlines and is not playing with his raps.
Last but not least, “Ballads” with Conway The Machine produced by Christo and Big Jerm was released in Nov. 2020 on YouTube and takes on a calm melody with hard lyrics. It begins with the “Never” rapper going acapella rapping, “Wasn’t used to taking orders if I’m rude, my apologies/ I never been a follower, I’m addicted to the power.” Conway comes in later on in the track to express his come-up from being homeless to moving up in the rap game.
These three tracks already have fans hyped-up wanting more from the rapper, specifically an album. And according to some tweets, J.I.D says there are more on the way.
