The Toronto native was set to release his sixth studio album “Certified Lover Boy” in January but pushed back the release.
In October 2020, the rapper underwent knee surgery and said on Instagram that he had to dedicate time to his recovery. In January he took to Instagram and wrote, “I’m blessed to be back on my feet feeling great and focused on the album, but CLM won’t be dropping in January.” However, the artist did say the album would be coming sometime this year.
“CLB is currently being chef’d in every way possible,” said Drake to OVO Sound Radio, “I don’t have an exact date, but it’s in the pot and it’s coming soon.”
While fans wait for the full length album, “Scary Hours 2,” hints at what’s to come. The tracks include; “What’s Next,” ‘Wants and Needs,” and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle.”
“What’s Next” is the opening track, and it’s soon to be a hit. The newly released music video for the song is currently trending #1 on YouTube. The song is high energy and in Drake fashion the lyrics mention his underdog journey and many accomplishments.
“I sit in a box where the owners do. A boss is a role that I’ve grown into.”
“Wants and Needs” features rapper Lil Baby and offers a clap back to the rumors and speculations about Drake’s personal life and career.
“Leave me out the comments, leave me out the nonsense. Speakin’ out of context, people need some content.”
“Lemon Pepper Freestyle” features Drake’s longtime friend and collaboration partner, Rick Ross. The two have been featured on tracks with each other for over a decade and fans hope to one day see the rapper release a collab album.

The track gives fans an insight on the rapper’s life as a father. He references his son Adonis’ French immersion school and how classmates’ mothers swoon over him.
“Teacher parent meetings, wives get googley-eyed, regardless of what their husbands do to provide, asking if I know Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj, of course.”
“Dropped him off at school, big day for my lil man. Recess hits, daddy prolly made another M. School bell rings and I’m out there to get him again.” – @Drake pic.twitter.com/wg8PDQj9MP
