BROCKHAMPTON, self-titled boyband, dominated New York City’s Irving Plaza this weekend in a series of concerts lasting from Friday to Sunday for their “Love Your Parents” US Tour. The band, who is rising in the music industry with hits such as “BLEACH” and “SWEET,” nearly sold out every show this past weekend.
The band currently has 14 members who live together in California and produce music. Many of the bands’ members have gained popularity by also releasing their own music, such as member Kevin Abstract’s heartfelt album American Boyfriend or Ameer Vann’s many singles that both reflect and differ from BROCKHAMPTON’s unique style. Since 2015 when the band started, they have moved quickly through the production of their albums and onto many people’s playlists.
Though they got their start in 2015 releasing All American Trash, 2017 was truly BROCKHAMPTON’s year as they released three albums: SATURATION, SATURATION II, and SATURATION III. At their concert last night, they played songs from this trilogy.
It has been rumored that the trilogy may be the last we hear from BROCKHAMPTON, but as more and more fans—celebrities included—are popularizing the music, hopefully, the boyband will bring more great hits in 2018.
