The long anticipated follow up to Kanye’s TLOP is finally here in the simply titled album, Ye. Kanye began his press run for the album last night at his album release party in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The album is deeply personal as Kanye talks about his marriage issues with Kim Kardashian-West as well as his battle with Bi-Polar disorder and his social media rants/controversies in regards to slavery. The album features guest appearances from 070 Shake, Charlie Wilson, Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla $ign, John Legend and a surprise feature by Nicki Minaj.
Each track tells it’s own story and the overall project fits the overall mood of the album which has a “campy” outdoors vibe with tracks with a deep story that are usually reserved for a campfire
While the project is only 7 songs long and 23 minutes in length, Kanye unpacks a lot of deep elements within the project. Each track tells it’s own story and the overall project fits the overall mood of the album which has a campy outdoors vibe with tracks with a deep story that are usually reserved for a campfire. Whether it’s a mood that will satisfy your ears is subjective but this project is sure to serve as an appetizer for all the other projects that’s on the way from Mr. West.

Ye is currently available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal which is a blow to exclusivity in the streaming market from a business standpoint but a win for the consumers.
