Following his arrest in Sweden and returning home, the Harlem rapper, A$AP Rocky, has been working on new music. Since the release of ‘Babu$hka Boi’ back in August and along with his AWGE clothing collection which released this month. This forthcoming studio album will be Rocky’s fourth, after 2018’s Testing.
Selfridges originally broke the news on Rocky’s new album title via press release stating:
“It’s not a coincidence that this T-shirt is called All Smiles: It’s the name of an album by award-winning rapper, singer, song-writer (all-around creative), A$AP Rocky. He also happens to be the founder of AWGE, the makers of the cotton-jersey tee. It’s printed with the album artwork on the chest; an upside-down grin that sits between two ’45 RPM’s at each sleeve. We’d don it with jogging bottoms and equally sunny, tones kicks.”
Similar to the bodega pop-up store, which launched two years prior in London’s Selfridges. AWGE, Rocky, and Selfridges had their official launch on Oct. 3.
The new space – titled the AWGE Store – will take inspiration from the streets of New York as well as Rocky’s hometown, Harlem.
Harlem will be recreated in a miniature 3D which will include complete barber shops, record stores, traffic lights, yellow taxis along with memories, messages and important locations to AWGE and of course Rocky himself.
As of now, there is no official release date for the album. All Smiles is releasing through Sony/RCA/Polo Grounds/ASAP Worldwide.
