Solange Knowles has come a long way from her sister, Beyonce’s shadow. She released A Seat at The Table September 30, 2016 and it is now No.1 along with Beyonce’ having a No.1 album Lemonade.
Solange has her own funky record label called Saint Records, and is a creative consultant with Puma.
Still, with all the success Solange has seen, it doesn’t stop the comparisons from her talented older sister, Beyonce.

The Knowles sisters credit their upbringing for why their music touches on social, political, and emotional issues for women, and people of color.
While I feel Solange’s music is more mellow and soothing, she still has a passion and flare that is unique to her.
Beyonce’s music to me is more upbeat, although most of her music is R&B, she can quickly crossover to pop with songs like “XO”, or “Video Phone” feat. Lady Gaga.

I found it sad seeing numerous articles comparing the sisters and the success of both of their albums, they both have a creative way of storytelling in their music with stimulating visuals. I think both albums should be celebrated and uplifted, not a comparison list of “Who Is The Better Knowles Sister”. I look forward to more amazing music from both artists.
