The Suicide Squad is back with another adventure. This time, there is a new cast set to take on a new journey of saving the world.
The trailer was released on March 26 and showed the crew gathering at Belle Reve prison to prepare for their next battle. We’re able to see the new relationships being built within the group and how they interact with each other. The movie takes place on an Island, where they are dropped off to handle their enemies and complete their mission.
It also showcased some familiar faces, such as Margot Robbie as Harley Quinnbut, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, and more. However, there are a few new faces to the squad, such as Idris Elba as Bloodsport, John Cena as Peacemaker, Pete Davidson as Blackguard, and more.
Suicide Squad is directed by James Gunn, who also produced Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1,2,3, Slither, and more. Gunn released the poster for the movie on March 25. He then took to Twitter to talk about the trailer and how he included the creator of Suicide Squad as a character who injects an inmate with a microchip.
“Did you see him in the trailer,” he responded to a fan’s Tweet. “It only makes sense that the actual creator of #TheSuicideSquad is the one to put the bombs in their heads (and it helped that John Ostrander was actually a former actor.)”
