Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup are no longer girls, but women in their twenties who are disgruntled from spending their childhood fighting crime. While they may resist their upbringing the world is in grave danger and only the trio can save them.
On April 7 fans got a peek at some behind the scenes photos. Dove Cameron, Chloe Bennet, and Yana Perrault, can be seen in costume as Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup.

While first glimpses are usually exciting, fans were underwhelmed with the wardrobe choice for the show’s leading stars.
One Twitter user says that the show looks “low budget” and another, even compared the outfits to bad Halloween costumes.

The design of the outfits are almost exactly the same as those spotted in the animated series, put with such high anticipations, fans were over all let down.
It is not clear if they are the official Powerpuff Girl outfits or if this is perhaps part of a “flashback” as one fan suggested.
I think a lot of people are jumping to the conclusion that these are their main suits when the more likely scenario is that they’re just a temporary suit or timid type thing for the first episode or a flashback or something. https://t.co/Wt4GiA7w94

Nevertheless, the cast seems pumped for the revival, Cameron spoke to Nylon about her excitement to play Bubbles.
“After I got cast, I had to wait a week before the news came out, which was an excruciating week because I’m such a fan of the cartoon,” said Cameron.
While she could not give any show details away, but said it is what fans would want and described the project as “mental.”
There is no current release date and so far only a pilot has been ordered by the network. For now, we must put our trust in Cameron and keep our fingers crossed that the “Powerpuff” pilot lives up the hype.
